Innovatie en onderzoek

Binnen OCON wordt (wetenschappelijk) onderzoek verricht. Onderzoek draagt direct bij aan optimalisatie van de patiëntenzorg omdat het erop is gericht de effecten van de behandelingen van de orthopedisch chirurgen te onderzoeken en verbeteren. Ons onderzoek is dus erg praktijkgericht. Aan de hand van uitkomsten van het onderzoek kan snel geschakeld worden met de orthopedisch chirurgen, bijvoorbeeld door het aanpassen van behandelprotocollen. Doordat OCON een wetenschappelijk onderzoeksafdeling in huis heeft laat zij zien dat zij een kritische en constructieve houding heeft ten aanzien van de door haar geleverde patiëntenzorg waarbij continue verbetering wordt nagestreefd. Door het doen van wetenschappelijk onderzoek zijn onze orthopedisch chirurgen ‘genoodzaakt’ zich te verdiepen in een bepaalde behandeling door wetenschappelijke publicaties te lezen en/of samenwerking te onderhouden met orthopedisch chirurgen die elders werkzaam zijn. Op deze manier blijven wij op de hoogte van de nieuwste inzichten en ontwikkelingen binnen de orthopedie.

Het wetenschappelijk onderzoek wordt uitgevoerd door onze onderzoekscoördinator / technisch geneeskundige, technisch geneeskundigen, arts-assistenten, studenten, verpleegkundigen en orthopedisch chirurgen. De strategische ontwikkelingen, kwaliteit en voortgang van het wetenschappelijk onderzoek worden bewaakt door de onderzoek coördinator.

Informatie voor patiënten

Alle gegevens die in het kader van reguliere zorg verzameld worden gebruiken we om onze medische zorg te evalueren. Vanzelfsprekend wordt hierbij vertrouwelijk en anoniem met uw gegevens omgegaan. Mocht u hier bezwaar tegen hebben dan kunt u dit kenbaar maken via [email protected].

U kunt gevraagd worden of u bereid bent mee te werken aan een wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Dit gaat meestal om het invullen van een vragenlijst, of het vergelijken van twee bestaande behandelingen. U bent vrij in uw keuze wel of niet deel te nemen. Het onderzoek hoeft niet altijd een direct voordeel voor uzelf op te leveren. Het doel is er dan in gelegen om de zorg voor toekomstige patiënten te verbeteren.

Informatie voor studenten

Op dit moment lopen er verschillende medisch-wetenschappelijke onderzoeken binnen OCON. Wij staan open voor verzoeken van studenten tot het doen van afstudeer- en/of wetenschapsstages en kunnen hierbij in overleg ondersteuning en professionele begeleiding bieden.
